'La Dolce Vita: Crafting the Art of Slow Living'
Driven by emotional durable design this collection seeks to acknowledge the importance of having sentimental connections to our wardrobes, encouraged by slow-made textiles. Reflecting on environments that evoke slow calming moments, my summers in Italy are cherished souvenirs filled with memories and sentiment. To translate these captures into textiles La Dolce Vita: Crafting the Art of Slow Living, is a fashion collection targeted at a unisex audience with a strong appreciation for sustainability and conscious consumption. Built with tactility and texture each piece has narratively created uniqueness and individuality telling my story of Italy.
Alongside creating a sample collection of designs for unisex fashion combining print and embroidery processes, I also re-worked into three unwanted garments. I transformed their purpose turning them into items that evoke emotion, sentiment and storytelling.
